Voices of Emotion is a TCG based on Japanese music artists and seiyuu (voice actors), and was created by Megumi. Opening in April 2003, it was the first TCG to feature seiyuu and Japanese artists and one of the first to feature any type of musical artist.

The title of the site is loosely inspired by the Korean pop group, Baby VoX -- VoX meaning Voices of eXpression. The forums were located at Mousey's Musicbox forums.

Background[]

Voices of Emotion was created on April 2003. Originally, it was planned to feature solely Japanese music artists, but Megumi also wanted to feature singing seiyuu as well as popular artists, but found that some seiyuu she liked did not sing that often, so she expanded it to feature seiyuu in general.

Examples of artists and seiyuu that the TCG featured included: Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Gackt, Dir en Grey, the brilliant green, Junko Iwao, Kotono Mitsuishi and more.

A unique feature of the TCG is the games section, named "Village des Chansons" (lit. Village of Songs). It was a separate section of the site designed on RPG Maker in the shape of a village and had each building going to a different game.

The TCG closed down after both Megumi's domain went down and her computer crashed and she lost all her files in early 2004.

Cards[]

The majority of decks are all worth 1 cards. There is one special deck that consisted of 3 cards that were given out during events and were not masterable.

Regular decks have 15 cards.

Leveling[]

Leveling is based on card worth. The names of the levels are based on the names of dynamics in musical theory.
